F4 SPRINT KARTING
Rules & Regulations – Edition 01.03.10
1 DRIVERS
1. All drivers are to be over the age of 16 years.
2. Drivers that have not completed a PKT OLT or hold an AKA or equivalent race licence, will start at the rear of the grid for 1 race meeting or until the promoter is satisfied of their ability.
3. All as per F4 endurance racing rules 3.3, 3.4, 3.5.

3 FUEL
Pump fuel only is to be used, NO FUEL ADDITIVES ALLOWED. Any violation may result in loss of accumulated points.
4 WEIGHT: LIGHT 170 & HEAVY 190KG
Karts will be weighed – kart, driver, gear and fuel.
Weighing will be conducted randomly after the completion of heats
Drivers that are found to be underweight will be given last position and last position points for that heat or qualifying session
5 RACING FORMAT (approx. starting times)
5.00pm to 6.00pm - Practice/qualifying
6.15pm - Driver’s Briefing
6.30pm Heat 1 – Light 15 laps, Heavy 15 laps
7.00pm Heat 2 – Light 15 laps, Heavy 15 laps
7.30pm Heat 3 – Light 18 laps, Heavy 18 laps
8.00pm Heat 4 – Light 20 laps, Heavy 20 laps
Qualifying times will determine grid positions for heat 1.
Grid positions for H2, H3 & H4 will be determined by random grid/bingo style.
Points will be allocated for qualifying and for each heat with the highest score determining the winning position for each class.
All positions will be awarded in descending order once the promoter is satisfied with the results.
In the event of a tied position, the highest finishing order will determine your position.
If this results in another tie, whichever driver set the faster time for the event including qualifying, will take the higher position.
Point Score will be as follows:-

TROPHIES:
1st, 2nd & 3rd Placing will receive trophies.
RULES:
Unsportsmanlike and dangerous driving or disruptive behaviour, abusive language or any physical or verbal aggression by a driver or a team member may result in rear of grid positioning and last position points for that heat and/or exclusion of the driver and team from the remainder of the meeting or meetings.
All decisions and penalties during and after the event are to be accepted in a sportsmanlike manner and without recourse.
Continued and persistent objection to decisions made during the race and/or at the conclusion of racing may result in exclusion from the event or subsequent events.
The promoter reserves the right to alter the rules and regulations at any time without notice.
